I know we’re staying in the dorms, are linens provided?
Yes, the UO dorms provide sheets, pillows, blankets and towel service. You will need to bring your own toiletries and shower sandals.
Is competition product provided for Nike Track Nationals, and if so, what does that include?
Yes, competition product is provided and will include: uniform, warm-up, training shoes, and competition shoes. For competition footwear, participants will choose one of the following: sprint spike, distance spike, high jump shoe, pole vault shoe, throwing shoe, long jump shoe.
What else should I bring?
• Photo ID (government issued for those 18 years old and over)
• Spending money for baggage fees and souvenirs (all food, lodging, and transportation will be covered)
• Keep in mind that the weather in Oregon can be unpredictable this time of year. Please pack accordingly.
Can I ship pole vaults in advance?
Yes, pole vaults can be shipped in advance via Fly-Away Pole. You may contact them at [email protected] or 717-701-2468 to arrange shipping. When making your arrangements with Fly-Away Pole, mention Nike Track Nationals and Nike will cover the cost. All shipments to Nike Track Nationals must be picked up from a business location (at-home businesses don't qualify). When contacting Fly-Away Poles, please provide the following information:
-Complete business address for pickup (any business including schools)
-Exactly how your poles are packaged along with the dimensions (length x width x height)
*Please note athletes are responsible for transportation of their own shot/disc implements.
Are we competing in 9 or 10 events at Nike Track Nationals?
Clubs will compete in the 9 events they qualified with through the virtual meet. You will not travel or compete in your dropped event from the virtual meet.
Can an individual on my team compete in both Nike Track Nationals and US Junior Championships?
Yes, provided your athlete is qualified for the Junior event and their competition is scheduled during their already scheduled stay in Eugene. Nike will not be responsible for registering your athlete for the US Junior event (Click here to see US Junior Championship entry info).
Can I arrive earlier or depart later than scheduled?
Nike will be flying athletes in Thursday and out Sunday. We will provide meals, lodging and transportation during that time frame. Early arrival or late departure requests will be handled on an individual basis, but please know that Nike will not be responsible for lodging, meals, or transportation outside of the Nike Track National days.
Can our team bring extra coaches/friends/family?
Nike can only travel the qualifying participants and up to 2 chaperones to the National meet. Additional coaches/friends/family are more than welcome to come out to Eugene, however, all Nike Track Nationals activities (except for Thursday’s opening ceremonies and the meet on Saturday) are exclusive to participants/chaperones.
Can we make changes to our final roster during Nike Track Nationals?
We ask that you compete with your final submitted roster at Nike Track Nationals. There will be no substitutions allowed before or during the meet.
Are allergies a problem in Eugene this time of year?
YES! Pollen is at its height this time of year. If you have a history of allergy problems, please come prepared.
Do we get US Championship tickets?
You bet! And what a treat it will be to watch world-class track and field athletes like Allyson Felix, Sanya Richards, Bernard Lagat, Walter Dix, and Reese Hoffa compete! All Nike Track Nationals participants and chaperones will receive tickets and their own cheering section! If friends/family would like to purchase tickets, they may do so at www.goducks.com.
