Harvard-Westlake of Studio City knew it would have to get the maximum production from its eight-athlete roster in order to contend for a top-six finish in the girls' competition Friday night at the inaugural Nike Track Nationals in Eugene, Ore.

But despite several strong performances throughout the meet, in the decathlon-style scoring format, the Wolverines could ill-afford to go scoreless in an event and that's unfortunately what transpired in the pole vault at Hayward Field.
