Athletes competing in the first Nike Track Nationals at Hayward Field arrived in Eugene Thursday. The meet happens Friday, July 2nd on the eve of the annual Prefontaine Classic.

Athletes will be staying in the Living and Learning Center dorms on the UO campus.

According to the the official website niketracknationals.com, This meet is the "first ever national championship competition to name the best high school track and field program in the United States."

The program selects the top 12 boys and top 12 girls programs to compete.
